DEVELOPMENT OF WHOLESALE FOOD GRAINS MARKET

As planned already to decongest the CBD area in respect of the Wholesale Food grains trading, the CMDA and Government of Tamil Nadu have accorded Administrative sanction for the development of Wholesale Food grains Market at KWMC with a total investment of Rs.61.85 crores in an extent of 15.60 acres for the construction of 500 shops in G.O.Ms.No.212 H&UD (UD.III-1) Department dated 20.6.2005.  Based on that, meetings were held with Traders Association and then alternative conceptual designs were prepared based on the Traders suggestion.  Further action is being taken to implement the project.
